Day 1 London - Rio de Janeiro
Guide at Rio de Janiero Galeao airport and transfer to hotel.
Evening free.
How about a dinner at one of the great Brazilian “Churrascarias”? Try Porcão in Flamengo or Marius in Leme. Or for seafood, there is an excellent restaurant in Copacabana called Marius Crustáceos.
Day 2 Rio de Janeiro – full day city tour with Christ Statue & Sugarloaf

Day 3 Rio de Janeiro
Day at leisure in Rio de Janeiro.
Enjoy the famous beaches of Copacabana or Ipanema, or maybe visit the botanic gardens in Rio. Shopaholics should head for the Barra shopping centre. For good restaurants and nightlife, the Lapa area is recommended.
Day 4 Rio de Janeiro
Day at leisure in Rio de Janiero.
Day 5 Rio de Janeiro – Paraty
Transfer by regular bus to Paraty (around 250km). After arrival and hotel check-in, time to explore the city.
Day 6 Paraty
Day at leisure in Paraty to discover this historic city. As an optional tour, why not try a schooner cruise to experience the beautiful beaches and islands.
Day 7 Paraty - Ilha Grande
Transfer to Angra dos Reis or Mangaratiba for ferry boat to Ilha Grande. The boat trip takes around 1h30. On arrival at Vila do Abrao, disembark and walk with guide to hotel (there are no cars on the island). Short walking tour of the village.
Day 8 Ilha Grande - Schooner cruise
After breakfast, short walk to the pier to take a schooner to the beach of Lopes Mendez. Reached by a 500m walk, this 3km beach is the finest in Ilha Grande. Time at leisure before returning to hotel.
Day 9 Ilha Grande
A day at leisure, to get to know this hideaway paradise of Atlantic rainforest and beaches. Many trekking routes cross the island, starting from Vila do Abaro. There are many places to dive among the 365 islands in the bay, including shipwreck diving. Full equipment can be hired.
Day 10 Ilha Grande
Full day at leisure.
Day 11 Ilha Grande - Rio - London
Last day on Ilha Grande. Return by ferry boat to Angra dos Reis dock and from there a regular transfer to Rio de Janeiro international airport to board homeward flight.
